WHAT CAN I DO?


LOOKING THROUGH THE PAGES OF MY MIND, I SEE ALL WE LEFT BEHIND.
I WONDER WHY IT HAD TO END, AND WILL MY BROKEN HEART EVER MEND?
I REMEMBER WAITING BY THE PHONE, HOPING YOU WOULD CALL.
THEN I LOST YOU, SO WHAT MORE COULD I DO?

LOOKING TO THE FUTURE, FORGETTING ABOUT THE PAST.
PRAYING EVERYNIGHT AND HOPING IT WOULD LAST.
HAVING DREAMS OF ME AND YOU BUT NOW THAT I LOST YOU,
PLEASE TELL ME WHAT CAN I DO?

I REMEMBER TAKING LONG WALKS AMONG THE TREES, HOLDING HANDS,
WITH SILENCE WE BOTH COULD UNDERSTAND.
OUR LOVE HAD A VOICE OF ITS OWN THAT ONLY WE COULD HEAR,
WHEN WE WERE TOGETHER THE REST OF THE WORLD WOULD DISAPPEAR.
YOU BROKE MY HEART IN TWO, NOW THERE'S NOTHING I CAN DO.

I SIT HERE ALL ALONE, WAITING BY THE PHONE.
HOPING TO HEAR FROM YOU, BUT, BABY, WHAT MORE CAN I DO?
NOW THAT WE ARE FAR APART, ALL THAT'S LEFT HERE IS MY BROKEN HEART.
DOESN'T SEEM SO LONG AGO, YOU WERE HOLDING ME AND WANTING ME SO.
THIS IS NOW AND THAT WAS THEN,

Love at Cross-Purposes


I say I want you
On a bright sunny day
You said you want me too
On a cold freezing night

I say I love you
Before the planting season
You said you love me too
After the long harvest

The reason you love me
Is different from why I love you
We both love at cross-purposes
A love without a sense of purpose

When are we going to speak
The same language of love?
When is your heart going to beat
At the same time with mine?

If we say things in one accord
We would never have to shed tears
If we truly love as we should
We would have nothing to fear

We surely love at cross-purposes
And never have the same agenda
We never have the same reason for love
That's why we're always far apart

things are the way they are?
And don't you ever wonder why,
People try to love from afar?
And don't you ever wonder why,
I tell you you're sent from above?
But please don't ever wonder why,
or question that I am in love!

What did I do wrong
to make you walk away,
was it the way I acted
or the words I could never say?

You turned your back on me
and completely walked out.
What did I do that was so wrong?
I loved you, and that's no doubt.

I guess you think you don't need me
or want me in your life,
I guess you didn't love me
it was all just a lie.

I wish I could be perfect enough
to make you understand,
I've always wanted your love
and for you to be my man.

I'm wondering if it's really me
or did you find someone else?
I'm sitting here feeling all the blame
but why should I, when I have always treated you the same.

You probley have someone,
someone else you think is true...
but she will never be me,
or love you like I do.

All I had was love inside of me
but it was just something you ignored,
I guess it just wasn't meant to be...
because you don't love me anymore

ATTRACTED
I don't really know how to start
This little poem I like to do
But with the help of my heart
I have made this poem for you

It started somewhere out there
When the two of us have met
It's the time I found an answer
To my frustrations and regret

Once, I thought there was no chance
For me to find somebody new
Someone as my inspiration in life
But, thank God, I found you

Opposites attract, they sometimes say,
And I think it is really true
'Cause whatever I will do or say
I can't deny I'm attracted to you

But one thing always bothers me
Have you come to stay?
'Cause I'm afraid to face reality
That in the end... you'll go away

You're Lost

I looked into your eyes
and saw inside your world
I wondered why
you're afraid of every girl
You shy away from getting hurt
you use then throw away
you don't want to take the chance
that maybe one would stay
If you would look into your heart
and reach inside your soul
just maybe you will find
that you can fill this hole
This shady past you have
and this life you want to lead
is going to get you no where
and leave you there to bleed
Why won't you just grow up
and try to let someone in
remove this wall you've built
and let your future begin

I have this little special star.
When I look at it I wonder where you are.
Even though we are not going out,
Our special friendship is what it's all about.
You are a very special friend to me.

WE WERE FRIENDS AT FIRST, JUST TALKED ABOUT WHATEVER.
NOW I'M SURE I'M STUCK FOREVER.

IT'S LIKE I HAVE TO TALK TO YOU FOR AT LEAST FIVE MINUTES;
IF I DON'T I FEEL SAD AND WITHOUT LIMITS.

WHEN I'M ON MY COMPUTER I CHECK TO SEE IF YOU'RE THERE,
BUT SADLY I FIND NO SIGNS OF YOU ANYWHERE.

I CHECK MY E-MAIL TO SEE IF THERE'S A LETTER,
BUT OBVIOUSLY YOU DID SOMETHING BETTER.

I HOPE ALL THIS ISN'T JUST A GAME,
'CAUSE, BOY, WOULD I FEEL LAME.

NOW THAT YOU'VE READ THIS, AND KNOW HOW I FEEL ABOUT YOU,
